The Barcelo Eresin Topkapi is a modern hotel situated overlooking the ancient Byzantine walls in Istanbul's old town, three kilometres from the world famous Grand Bazaar with its 4,000 shops offering jewellery, pottery and carpets. Istanbul Ataturk Airport is 10 kilometres from the hotel, with an approximate driving time of 15-20 minutes.
Hotel Features. Guests can relax over drinks or order light meals from the 24-hour room service menu. One of the main attractions is the hotel's Barcelo Aqua Life Club with free entrance for all guests, featuring an indoor heated swimming-pool, a beautiful Turkish bath, steam bath, two saunas, shock showers, jetted spa, massage service, solarium, hairdresser, fitness centre and Vitamin Bar. Wireless Internet is also available.

The Barcelo Eresin Topkapi's Picasso Restaurant has a beautiful winter garden, serving a menu of international and Turkish cuisine. The Mey Lounge is a relaxed bar serving snacks and tapas.

City and private buses run services in Istanbul. The suburban train network is old but reliable and inexpensive. Istanbul's metro is under construction, though some lines are already in service; it's inexpensive, with frequent services. There are also several tramlines. Istanbul has a large fleet of yellow taxis, but a cheaper way of getting around the streets is to hire a dolmus, (shared taxi or minibus). Ferries and catamarans are a cheap, fun way to get around. Driving directions. Leaving the airport take a left after the 1st traffic lights and turn right onto E-5 to Bakirkoy-Aksaray. After 10 kilometres, take the exit: Aksaray - Sultanahmet. Passing the old city walls, make a u-turn at the 2nd traffic lights. The Barcelo Eresin Topkapi is on the right hand side.
