Location. Dersaadet Hotel is located in the centre of Istanbul, Turkey, 200 metres from the Blue Mosque and one kilometre from the Grand Bazaar.
Hotel Features. This five-storey hotel is set in a refurbished 19th-century Ottoman house built in timber. The interiors feature ornate and traditionally Turkish decor, and there is a roof terrace with views across the Bosphorus and the Blue Mosque. Multilingual staff at the 24-hour front desk can offer concierge services and the air-conditioned public areas have complimentary wireless Internet access. There is also 24-hour room service, and a town car service is available.

The hotel's Roof Terrace Bar has stunning views, and a complimentary buffet breakfast is served there.

Guestrooms. The 17 guestrooms have traditional Ottoman decor and furnishings in strong colours. All are equipped with satellite television, wireless Internet, climate control, and minibars. Both airport terminals are connected to the metro system, which runs to the city centre. Single tickets cost about 1 TRY. The Havas Airport bus departs every 30 minutes for the main bus terminal and Taksim Square, in central Istanbul. Journey time is about 30 minutes. Bus number 96 runs between the airport and the city centre, and a shuttle bus runs to the port. Taxis wait outside Arrivals; fixed prices are in place and the fare to the city centre should be about 20 TRY-30 TRY. At night, there is a 50 percent surcharge. Prices are all subject to change. Getting around. Istanbul's extensive public transport system includes buses, metros (underground trains), trains, trams, sea buses, and ferries. Tickets can be purchased from main stops, stations, or kiosks before boarding. Istanbul's yellow taxis are reasonably priced, but travellers should ensure the meter is used. A cheaper alternative is to use a 'dolmus' (minibus or shared taxi). Driving is not advised for visitors.
